At Savoy UMC we strive to develop meaningful and vital relationships with one another to become living examples of the “body of Christ”. We believe that in order to keep our spirits physically fit we must keep moving. We offer ample opportunities for adults to CONNECT, GROW and SERVE within our community. Come, give your spirit a workout!

GROW
Jesus demonstrated the importance of small groups by forming one Himself with His disciples, who eventually trained others to do likewise. Small groups at Savoy UMC help us to develop meaningful and vital relationships with one another so we can become living examples of the “body of Christ”.
We believe that being in community with other Christians is essential as we carry out our mission to Journey with Jesus to be like Jesus. Small groups allow you to be in fellowship, study, prayer and service with other Christians.
Small groups help members CONNECT, GROW and SERVE. The topics studied in our small groups change periodically, according to the needs of our members. Listed here are some of the ongoing groups that meet throughout the year. If you have an idea about a small group topic or Bible study email the church office at church@savoyumc.org.

Welcome Team
The Welcome Team creates a warm and welcoming environment for each person who comes to Savoy UMC, from the first-time guest to the life-long member. Providing a remarkable experience for our guests requires volunteers, leaders, signage, nursery options, facilities, and a feeling of friendliness in the church. Our goal is to provide radical hospitality the minute someone walks through our doors.

On Sunday mornings the Welcome Team greets people at the doors. The Welcome Team is a good place to start if you’re not sure where you should serve. If you can smile or offer a good handshake, it’s a great way to meet new folks and get connected. For more info about being a part of the Welcome Team, email the church office at church@savoyumc.org.

Prayer Team
The Savoy UMC Prayer Ministry offers prayers for our pastor, church leaders and our church family. The Prayer Team meets at the church on the first and third Tuesdays each month to say prayers for specific people, ministries and concerns in our church. Confidential prayer request cards are available at the church and during Sunday worship services for anyone to write a specific prayer request for the prayer team or to only Pastor Marc. Prayers are also offered for our community, state, nation and the world. We believe prayer is our chance to open our hearts to God, be assured He listens, and to hear from Him. Through prayer everyone can experience the Love, Power and Grace that comes from a personal relationship with God.
