Connect with Jesus--We are committed to making the focus of who we are and what we do be about creating opportunities to connect to God through Jesus Christ. "This is how much God loves the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life" (John 3:16, MSG) God wants us not to just know about him, but to know him in a way that would transform our lives and allow us to see the world from his perspective. It is only through a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, accepting that his death covers our sins and connects us again to God, the giver of life. Jesus states, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Serve Compassionately--As a community united in Jesus Christ, we seek to serve each other and the world in the way Jesus engaged us-compassionately. The God we worship is identified as "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness..." (Exodus 34:6) and that same God came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ, moved by that same love. While on earth he demonstrated how that compassion led him to serve those he encountered. In Matthew 20:28, Jesus reminds us that "the Son God came not to be saved, but to serve."

Be Real--We seek to be a community where we can be real with both our strengths and imperfections and allow the love of God to give us a new vision for ourselves. God knows us better than we know ourselves as captured in Psalm 139:3-4 "You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, LORD, know it completely." God sees our good and our bad and still he loves us. We often do not love ourselves or others in the same manner for numerous reasons. Throughout the Bible, we see God encountering people where they are and as who they are, giving them the freedom to embrace the truth of God's love for them. Philippians 2:3-4 states, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

Be Creative--We seek to worship and minister in ways, unconventional at times, displaying the truth of our creative God. We are formed and created in the image of God Almighty, the one who is constant and true. Yet the Scriptures proclaim how God creatively moved to reveal his love for his creation and the truth of who he is. This is ultimately displayed in the birth, life, death and resurrection of the God in the flesh, Jesus Christ. In the Gospel of John, a woman comes to a wall to get water for the day and encounters Jesus. Jesus states, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst" (John 4:13-14, NIV). Jesus' reply was not what she expected, but it was creative and drew her to address her deeper need, the need to know God.
