 The Director of Children’s Ministry (DCM) is responsible for helping children (infant - 5th grade) to know and follow Jesus Christ and to equip parent(s)/guardian(s) in their ministry at home.  This ministry will be directed by the mission, vision, and goals of Savoy UMC and God’s Holy Word (the Bible) to “partner with parents in transforming real kids into real followers of Jesus Christ.”   

 

This individual should possess education and/or experience in children's ministry, a passion for children, the ability to lead and delegate, good communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently.  The DCM should have a relationship with Jesus Christ that is reflected through his or her actions, words and interactions with others.  This is a part-time position with the expectation of dedicating 20hrs/week to the fulfillment of the ministry. This individual reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
